The online test provided here assures that dance teachers meet minimum requirements for standards compliant dance studios and dance instructors.

We are not testing for performance. We are testing for knowledge of basic dance theory and responsible adult instruction in a classroom situation that may involve teaching children and/or adults dance classes of any style or technique.

A knowledge of ballet vocabulary
is helpful.
