What is Dance Teacher Certification?

What does the exam consist of?
Our exam is primarily a multiple choice test, but your
comments and essay questions will count towards your total score. You must get an overall score of 92% to become recognized and certified by Dance & Gym USA®.
Any additional background information you provide including your levels of training and experience will also count towards your final evaluation.

Upon your acceptance and our approval, you will receive a full color Dance & Gym USA Dance Teacher (Studio) Certification Certificate and a recommended listing on our companion website:
KidsDanceClasses.com.

Your exam will be evaluated and the results will be emailed to you.
There is a fee involved for the testing service and evaluation.
Standard Compliant Members:
The examination fee is for our standards compliant exam is 79.99 (lifetime fee)
This consists of an evalutaion and acceptable completion of our exam.
Platinum Lifetime Members:
Our Platinum Lifetime membership fee is 129.00 and is only available to those applicants who provide us with hard copies of criminal and child abuse background clearances, as well as a completed and accepted exam and list of qualifications and experience. There are no yearly membership dues.
You will find 51 questions on our exam. Please provide your dance training information and dance teaching credentials so we can determine if you qualify for dance teacher certification.
You can take the test as many times as you need to for no additional charge.
If you need to repeat the test, we will email it to you.

Who is Dance & Gym USA®?
Founded in 1982 by Kathleen Bazzano, Dance & Gym USA is a dance studio and dance teacher training center. Ms. Bazzano holds a bachelors and masters degree in dance performance and has over 35 years of teaching experience, teaching at college levels, professional levels, elementary levels and recreational levels. There are no state, national or international standards required for dance studio compliance at this time. This is why Ms. Bazzano feels so strongly that testing is necessary, and she has made it affordable for all dance instructors and dance studio owners. Strict adherence to the testing will apply and all applicants will be carefully screened.
